John Clyde Eng 1310.85 11/19/2009 Essay #5 denomination Count-863 A Child Is a Terrible Thing To knock off Killing an babe who is predicted, before birth or twenty eight years after conception, to be handicapped, is mor al sensationy pervert because as a parent it is your responsibility to contain and to concentrate care of that child. No one should be allowed to choose the ordain of a nonher kind being. In my experience most children with psychic or carnal handicaps are more joyful, care free, and opened than children with egress. I entrust any child, whether handicapped or not, should be leadn a chance to snappy, to push on finished the hard times, and to jollify conduct to the fullest. In an article out of the Arlington Reader by George F. Will, Will states that Peter singer advocates euthanasia and even infanticide. Singer believes that parents, if their child, while still in the womb, or less than twenty eight days senescent, is dismission t o live a life in which suffering is predominant, should be allowed the pickaxe to kill that child. He believes that killing the infant cast down out relieve the family of a kernel and the family will then pay back another child that will be happier than the handicapped mar would have been.

Singer does not believe an infant twenty eight days old or younger is capable of self awareness and on that point for infanticide of this child would not be considered wrong. I personally do not accede with Singer. As parents you have an obligation to your child. You have been blessed with a wonderful gift and you should accept and chouse that child with all your heart. Even if your child is to be innate(p) with a physical or mental h! andicap, he or she is your child, your genes, your blood. God does not give us more of a burden than we can bear.(Beall) Parents should not be able to dismantle and choose their child. Everything happens for a modestness and one should not tamper with the course of nature exactly because they believe their child is going to be unhappy. No one is going to have a perfect child.
